Danijel Malbasa

Danijel Malbasa is a Serbian-Australian human rights and industrial relations lawyer and a refugee from the Balkan wars of the 1990s. He was resettled to Australia in 1999 as part of the UNHCR humanitarian resettlement process. He holds degrees in law, international relations and masters of law. He works for one of the largest trade unions in Australia and occasionally volunteers his legal skills helping asylum seekers in Australia and writes to humanise the refugee experience.
